How to make your paper pinwheel

Children must ask for adult assistance — this activity includes the use of scissors and pins

  1. Cut out the square along the outside dotted line
  2. Color the back of the paper (for a pinwheel with alternating colors, color both sides of the paper!)
  3. Cut along the diagonal dotted lines
  4. Lift each corner and bring it to the spot marked “pin” at the center of the square
  5. Holding it all in place, carefully push the pin through
  6. Press the pin into the pencil eraser to finish your pinwheel!
